Dauntless Redux

A remake of a ship I designed a few years ago. Visually it is designed to fit in the art style established in Star Trek: Enterprise (2001). Size wise it is about half the height of the titular Enterprise. The small size of the ship made ensuring that the details matched the scale a fun challenge. In fact, I wasn't even sure the ship was big enough but a quick modelling of the interior revealed its more then large enough for 40 odd crew, amenities, a small shuttle bay, and ship systems.
Models and textures by me.

Originally a dedicated science frigate, the Dauntless were hastily converted to warships in response to the Xindi attack

The Dauntless' rather crude "combat Deflector" was installed in place of its intended heavy sensor system

From astern, its single craft shuttlepod bay is visible. As well as the impulse engines and warp stabilizer. It shares these details closely with NX01 Enterprise.

As well as all the detail refinement, i added extra emphasis on the design's interesting elements, such as the cut-outs in the saucer.
