Under lead pilot Captain Jacklin Smith, 808 NAS would find significant success early in the Solar War. Operating the various early marks of Mosquito TB, 808 NAS flying off from HMS Dauntless has primarily operated in the area surrounding Venus. They have claimed the 3rd rate Paris, the 4th rate Styx and the frigate Danube. In addition their crippling attack on the 1st rate Sierra Nevada early in the First Retaliation Against Venus spooked the federal commander into an excessively defensive posture.
