Dauntless class

in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Stormfront II" enterprise returns home and is greeted by starfleet's home fleet...

so i went a head and made my own class of ship that matched the bow on profile of the ships we see in that ENT episode.

Built in response to the Xindi threat the Dauntless class' most defining feature has to be the large glowing device on the front of the secondary hull. This is in fact a limited arc shield array, the first example of a Starfleet ship equipped with shields. when active, it supplements the ships polarized hull in the defense of the ships. however due to its large power cost and less then efficient geometry (a large flat screen ahead of the ship) exceeding warp 2 proved impossible with the shields online.
